And just like that Mother Earth fought back

The skies turned clearer 

The water ran deeper

The ground replenished 

The animals roamed freer 

At 1st; the humans felt caged

Their lives in chaos

As their lives were ravished, some taken too soon, stolen by nature; without a thought or consideration for the wreckage it left behind

Then; in the absence of the rat race

Their thoughts became clearer

Their souls plunged deeper 

Their hearts replenished 

Their minds roamed clearer 

In the midst of chaos, grief and loss; they found peace, appreciation and finally realised their raison d’etre: to live
